After the majority of years growing up in Australia I moved my life overseas to learn, grow and embark on new experiences. A working life of hospitality and sales both home and broad, primarily focused on exceptional customer service, may not have necessarily paved the way for a career in property management, but it definitely gave me the tools to be a success in my role as a Letting Specialist for Barfoot &Thompson. The greatest experience in my life has been the opportunity to live among a diverse range of people, build and develop skills as a communicator on many levels, and bring back a foundation of key customer service knowledge to a new and exciting career which I have been lucky enough to undertake in New Zealand.

The collaboration of learning new aspects of business development, negotiation, and the fundamentals of the Real Estate industry have created a skillset has been invaluable not only to my career but to everyday life. The role of a letting agent is primarily focused on business, – getting your numbers up to reach targets, attaining new business, acquiring the highest possible rent in keeping with the market, and communicating with a diversity of people. The challenges and rewards that this presents on a daily basis has made come the realisation that a longstanding career with Barfoot & Thompson Papatoetoe is imminent.
